Azerbaijan nationals' trips to Iran has increased by 53.2%
Azerbaijan nationals' trips to Iran has increased by 53.2% during a 9-month period in 2018 compared to the same period last year. The nationals of Iran's northern neighbors travel mainly for religions and health tourism purposes. Up to the last month, Iran was the second destination for Azerbaijan tourists, however, the most recent statistics suggest that Iran has become their most popular destination. According to IRAN and the statistics released by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, around 31% of Azerbaijan outbound tourists have traveled to Iran.
